Meet the founder

Nicole Gosserand is a woman of many talents. She is known by her family and community as Yetundei which means 'mother returns'.

Born and raised in Metairie, Louisiana, she moved to the uptown area of New Orleans after having her second daughter. She left New Orleans in the wake of Hurricane Katrina and made Houston, Texas, her home where she lives with her Husband and four daughters. During the pandemic, Yetundei started Set Ayat House – a business that helps women with dry skin, skin issues due to hormonal changes using plant-based products.

The inspiration for the business came after evaluating what skills she already had. Yetundei have worked in healthcare for 25 years. She’s also been a vegan for 20 years. Using these skills help Yetundei to heal her daughter’s eczema with plant-based ingredients.

The name ‘Set Ayat’ means ‘grandmother’ which is another proud role she plays to her granddaughter, Makhia. Set Ayat is also an appropriate name for this business because the role of grandmothers is to heal their family and community.
